ALOHA!
I am Skyla,
My passion is creating deep, authentic relationships with families as a supportive advocate for everyone to live their most joyful lives. I love being a pillar in helping each person discover their unique, most nourishing path. I have been working with children for 20 years and recently became a doula, supporting families to have their dream birth, bringing little ones into the world. For the last 10 years, I have taken children on adventures, weaving play, yoga, mindfulness, and deep connection with the earth. I love cooking with every color of the rainbow, working with balancing foods for our nervous system, while simultaneously addressing our relationship with all things and how we can have more loving balance and sweetness in our lives. Most recently I have been gathering weekly with woman on the island of maui practicing being witnessed in our most tender places and moving towards the life of our dreams!
Meet Winter!
Winter is the purest essence of wild-innocent- unconditional love! Whether she is chasing coconuts on the beach, rocks in the river or playing lifeguard with the keiki she is guaranteed to bring vibrant joy wherever she goes! She has been my companion for 5 years and is completely off leash trained and knows she is a part of the pack! Every child she has met whether they like dogs or not end up loving her “human dog” magic. So no matter where the adventure may be Winter is always ready to join!

My Inspiration
I choose this ‘work’ for the version of myself who once felt extremely disconnected from life, for the version who was once caught in cycles of alcohol and self-destruction. I choose this because bringing people closer to their hearts, selves, and dreams does not feel like work; it feels like a true honor.
My Experience
My life has been full of rich experiences working with children, families, women, and animals. At the age of 18, I moved across the country from Lansing, Michigan, to Portland, Oregon, where I attended Portland Community College with a focus on early childhood development while nannying for multiple families. From there, I realized I craved learning through life experiences instead of the classroom setting. So, I traveled abroad to Brazil, Argentina, and Costa Rica to study deeper cultural connections. It was here that I learned to live life in continual ceremony with the earth. I practice deep meditative and devotional self-care that is intuitive, moment to moment. I love working with the elements of earth, wind, fire, and air, which is a huge reason why I chose to live on the wild island of Maui.
